My name is Janice Luevano, and I’m a dedicated reading coach with over 25 years of experience in education. For 15 years, I taught in the classroom, primarily working with language learners, followed by a decade as an instructional coach supporting both students and fellow educators. 

 

My educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Quality Education and Quality Schools, a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education with a Spanish major, and an ESL endorsement in Iowa, along with a K–8 reading endorsement. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with learners ranging from preschool through adult education. Supporting struggling readers and helping them build confidence and lasting literacy skills is at the heart of my work. I especially enjoy working individually with older students and witnessing the pride and joy that come with their progress.

 

My sessions are personalized, encouraging, and grounded in a deep understanding of literacy development. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, hiking, and spending time with my family at sporting events.
